Ground Ambulance

ACE provides a comprehensive emergency medical package of affordable air and road medical transportation with advanced, rapid response medical care using fully equipped ground and air ambulances for members.

Medical Aid and Travel Insurance companies take an average of 16 hours before authorising activation of the emergency services. In the event of an accident or medical emergency, delay in treatment can mean the difference between life and death. Rapid deployment of emergency medical services to provide on-site medical attention and transportation to the closest appropriate medical facility can make that difference.

ACE provides a subscription based, advanced medical rescue service. We can activate our team of medical professionals immediately without the need to obtain authorisation from an insurance company. By contacting a single emergency number our members will be speaking to our 24-hour medical Call Centre.

Air Evacuation

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

Our fleet of intensive care equipped aircraft and helicopter along with our fleet of ground ambulances ensure that the appropriate transport and medical expertise is able to respond immediately without delay.

• Transportation by ground ambulances, fixed wing air ambulances or HEMS (Medical Helicopter Service) to the nearest appropriate medical facility.
• Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Care provided by fully trained paramedics / flight nurses or doctors depending on the nature of the problem.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

* Please note Air evacuation is not available to anyone weighing greater than 130 Kg

* Additional charges may apply where there is a deemed to be a significant previous medical history. This will be reviewed on a case by case basis by the Medical Director at ACE.

  • The Member is liable for a membership fee and the membership fee is payable 14 days in advance as of the Effective date of the Membership. The policy will be activated 14 days from the acceptance of the application and the date of payment.
  • The Company shall not be liable for any benefit arising under this Membership that occurs prior to receipt of the membership fee.
  • The Company shall not be obliged to accept membership fees tendered to it or to any intermediary after such date, but may do so upon such terms as it in its sole discretion may determine.
  • In the event of the company not accepting membership fees, the Membership will be suspended from the date from which the premium became due. The Emergency Call Centre will still attend to services needed in an Emergency, however, it will be important for the Member to note that the fees payable for those services, will be the responsibility of the Member.
  • The Company reserves the right to ask for proof of payment at any time. Such proof must be to the Company's satisfaction.
  • Upon cancellation of membership, fees are not refundable.
  • The final decision as to whether there is an indication for evacuation will rest with the Medical Director.
  • The mode of transportation will be decided by the Operations Director in conjunction with the Medical Director.

Cancellation/refund policy

Full refund if requested/cancelled within 24hrs of transaction. If cancelled after 24 hrs, within 7 days after transaction, 40% of transaction value will be retained, 60% reimbursed (except for daily subscription –this will be will be fully charged for accrued on number of days after transaction.) If cancelled after 7 days post transaction, 100% of monthly fee will be applied.
