All admissions are at Healthpoint, guaranteeing consistent and high-quality care. Transfers to other facilities are subject to Healthpoint’s recommendation or may incur additional costs.
Clear Exclusions
ACE Plus does not cover maternity cases, self-harm, injuries under the influence, psychiatric conditions, admission to the ward, or specialist doctor consultations, focusing instead on critical emergencies.
Terms and Conditions
- Emergency room access is provided via Ace Ambulance services only.
- Ace Ambulance services will be dispatched for life- or limb-threatening situations after assessment by the Ace call center.
Valid membership with a minimum of six months of enrollment is required to utilize emergency services.
- Healthpoint reserves the right to claim costs from your medical aid provider.
- Emergency room coverage includes stabilization, a doctor's consultation, resuscitation, one x-ray, and basic emergency lab tests.
- Any hospital admissions must be at Healthpoint facilities. You will be liable for costs incurred at a different hospital unless Healthpoint authorizes the transfer.
- The following are not covered by this service:
- Maternity cases
- Self-inflicted injuries
- Injuries occurring while under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Psychiatric conditions
- Hospital ward admissions
- Specialist doctor consultations
