Terms and Conditions

  • Coverage applies to individuals while staying or traveling within the Lower Zambezi Valley region of Zimbabwe for the covered duration purchased.
  • The cover provides emergency medical response, including rapid rescue by river boat ambulance, 4x4 road ambulance, and access to the ACE Chirundu trauma clinic.
  • Individuals covered under the Zambezi Cover receive free consultation at the ACE Chirundu clinic; however, charges apply for medications, drugs, and medical sundries used during treatment.
  • The cover includes emergency stabilization, resuscitation, urgent medical consultation, and transfer services, designed specifically for life- or limb-threatening emergencies.
  • Non-emergency care, specialist consultations, inpatient ward admissions, ongoing treatment, or follow-up care outside the ACE Chirundu clinic are not included.
  • Maternity cases, psychiatric conditions, injuries due to self-harm, and injuries sustained under the influence of drugs or alcohol are excluded from coverage.
  • Pre-existing medical conditions may not be covered, and members should disclose relevant medical history during registration.
  • Coverage is limited to the geographical boundaries of the Lower Zambezi Valley; cross-border emergency services are excluded unless arranged separately.
  • Only one accompanying guardian or relative may accompany the patient during evacuation, subject to availability and medical approval.
  • Members must contact the ACE 24-hour emergency response line to activate services; unauthorized or non-emergency use of services will not be covered.
  • No refunds are issued for unused coverage periods or early termination of the cover.
  • Accurate and truthful information must be provided at registration; misrepresentation may lead to denial of service or cancellation of membership.
  • Excludes onwards transfers out of the Zambezi Valley by road or air ambulance.
