Terms and Conditions for ACE Tourist/Visitor Cover
- Cover is available for tourists and visitors to Zimbabwe for the selected duration purchased, starting from the date of registration and payment confirmation.
- Expired cover is not accepted.
- Services provided include emergency medical stabilisation at the scene, emergency ambulance transport (road or air), and evacuation to the nearest appropriate medical facility based on the patient's location and medical needs. The decision on final mode of evacuation is strictly at the discretion of the ACE medical director.
- Only emergencies of a life- or limb-threatening nature are eligible for evacuation and care under this cover; minor ailments or non-urgent care are not covered.
- The cover does not include ongoing treatment, inpatient ward stays, or any specialist consultations following stabilization and initial emergency care.
- Maternity cases, psychiatric conditions, injuries involving self-harm, and injuries sustained under the influence of drugs or alcohol are explicitly excluded.
- Any costs incurred at the admitting or transferring medical facility (including hospitalization, surgery, or additional diagnostic testing) remain the responsibility of the member or their medical aid/insurance.
- Pre-existing medical conditions are not covered, and a waiting period may apply for some conditions as outlined at the time of registration.
- The cover applies only within the borders of Zimbabwe; cross-border or international evacuation is not included but can be quoted and charged separately if necessary.
- Only one accompanying relative or guardian may travel with the patient during evacuation if approved by the attending medical team and if space allows.
- Members must contact the ACE 24-hour emergency line to initiate service; unauthorized use or non-emergencies will not be honored under this agreement.
- No refunds will be issued for unused subscription periods or early termination of cover.
- Policyholders are required to provide accurate information at registration; misrepresentation may result in denial of service or termination of cover.
