ACE Air & Ambulance Membership Terms & Conditions
Terms and Conditions:
- All memberships become active only upon full payment.
- There is no waiting period for membership activation, except for individuals with preexisting conditions such as past surgical history or chronic illness.
- ACE is not obligated to accept a membership application.
- ACE services are not accessible to members with expired subscriptions with no exceptions.
- Membership is only valid for life or limb-threatening emergencies (see meaning below).
- Only the listed and paid-for member may receive services, memberships are non-transferable.
- ACE may not be held liable if unable to respond to an emergency call by a member under certain circumstances, including unsafe conditions for the medical crew or property, adverse weather, restrictions on night flying in specific areas, impassable roads, compliance with civil aviation regulations, or unclear information regarding the incident type, condition, location, or membership status.
- The final decision regarding the need for evacuation will rest with Medical Director or Managing Director of ACE.
- The mode of transport will be determined by either the Managing Director or Medical Director.
- Any misuse of the membership will be reported, and the member may face potential banning.
- All individuals joining are required to complete an application form with ACE.
- If ACE is unable to attend to a member, it will arrange and cover the cost of a third-party provider to attend to the member.
- Membership is valid for accidents or incidents at the scene requiring transport to the nearest appropriate hospital.
- ACE retains the right to claim from members medical aid where deemed necessary.
- No services under any circumstances will be provided to any expired members no matter the time frame.
- IT IS SOLEY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF SUBSCRIBERS TO RENEW BEFORE EXPIRY OF MEMBERSHIP.
Exclusions:
- Membership is not valid for pre-booked standard childbirth or maternity cases, except for complicated cases.
- Membership is not valid in cases of attempted suicide or self-harm.
- Membership is not valid in cases of alcohol-related emergencies or drug intoxication.
- Membership does not cover inter-hospital transfers or bed-to-bed services.
- Membership does not cover inter-city hospital transfers.
- Membership does not cover non-life or limb-threatening incidents.
- Air evacuation is not available for individuals weighing 130kg or more.
Meaning of Life or Limb-Threatening Emergency:
- Evacuation is reserved for cases that pose a threat to life or limb only. The “golden hour” refers to the critical hour following an injury or illness during which immediate medical treatment is crucial to prevent death. Any individual at risk of losing their life or limb within this golden hour is considered a potential evacuation patient.
